We were referred to newcomers Pat and Dick by their realtor. They wanted to modify their recently purchased home to accommodate Pat's mom Laura. They wanted Laura to have her own apartment that in the future could serve as an entertainment space. It was important to Pat and Dick that any addition look as though it was an original part of their home.

From the five solutions (each with price tag) prepared for Pat and Dick's review, conversion of the existing garage into the apartment and adding a new garage was chosen. At our suggestion the Saddlemires expanded the scope of work to include a market popular, three bay garage in lieu of just replacing the existing two bays. We prepared blue prints that fully defined what was to be built and at what quality level which provided four very competitive bids for the work.

This project demonstrates four excellent reasons to engage ADM:
  1. Exploration and review of several solutions that achieve the objectives, each with a price tag.
  2. Advice about "value-added" real estate improvement options.
  3. Fully defined blue prints that allow competitive bidding to determine the true value of the work and make sure that the homeowner is not "taken" by a builder.
  4. Additions that appear to be original to the property.
