We have done several projects with Don and Martha Buck. This time they asked us to design an outdoor structure where they could relax and sleep on hot summer nights in the woods adjacent to their stream.

Construction of this project would be difficult. The location is inaccessible to trucks, due to the steep banks that surround the site. Materials would need to be hand-carried. So we chose site-mixed concrete, a light wood structure, insect screen and canvas awnings.
